Finance Department and Human Resources
A Director of Finance, Accounting and Human Resources staff handle the processing of all the financial documents, payroll and record-keeping. This staff is responsible for outgoing payments, maintenance of the electronic timekeeping system, hand-punch and e-time, and payroll processing. In addition, the accounting staff is responsible for producing all financial reporting. The Billing Department operates under the direction of the Director of Finance and consists of a team of billing and collection specialists who report to the Billing Manager. This department is responsible for accurately and appropriately billing of all Clinical Health Laboratories services to Medicare, Medicaid, other insurance carriers, nursing homes, clients and patients. The billing staff is also responsible for collecting monies owed to the company. Operational hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (M - F)

Phlebotomy Services
Our Phlebotomy Manager oversees the phlebotomy staff which consists of six teams (East Cleveland, Far East Cleveland, Fairlawn/Canton, Vermilion/Sandusky, Gahanna, and Parma/Central), working out of five branch laboratories. The phlebotomists collect specimens by drawing or picking up specimens from our client base, which includes patients in nursing homes, personal residences, physician offices, dialysis centers, and others. The specimens are transported to one of our laboratories for testing and resulted to the ordering physician for evaluation. Phlebotomy Team Coordinator (float staff) are responsible for overseeing workflow within each specific branch and oversee client satisfaction and compliance for phlebotomy services within their respective territories. Operational hours: 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Full Time Shifts: 4:00 AM - 12:30 PM, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, 9:00 AM - 6 PM, 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM, and 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM. Various Part Time Shifts: 4:00 AM - 8:00 AM or 10:00 AM, 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM, including weekend shifts only. All shifts rotate weekends, on-call status and holidays.

Laboratory
This is an area staffed by trained medical laboratory personnel whose responsibilities are to analyze and report accurate, timely test results to be used in the diagnosis and management of various diseases. The laboratory consists of several specialty areas including chemistry, hematology, microbiology and immunology. Our main laboratory, located in Cleveland, provides a patient service center for patients that visit our laboratory. Microbiology is performed only at the main laboratory.

Laboratory: Central Processing
This is a division of the main laboratory that deals with the accessioning and processing of various types of specimens requiring testing.

Laboratory: Patient Service Centers (PSCs)
Clinical Health Laboratories has outreach laboratories that are responsible for the collection of specimens, selective testing and the reporting of critical test results in their respective geographical areas. They allow us to reduce the amount of time that would be spent in transporting the specimens to the laboratory. Our PSCs also provide special collection service for patients that visit our laboratories. (Operational Hours listed under Locations)

Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI)
A consistent focus at Clinical Health Laboratories. This program consists within the responsibility of our Laboratory Manager who responds to Quality Assurance Reports, better known as QAR's, generated mainly by our clients. CQI assures the laboratory has a mechanism to document and resolve problems relating to client satisfaction and adherence to proper policy, procedures, and compliance. CQI is a valuable tool used to monitor and document issues, and to develop future policy and procedures to ensure compliance and client satisfaction.

Sales & Marketing
The Director of Sales, Marketing & Client Service, along with a group of Account Executives, follows up on inquiries, identifies new prospects, markets, establishes marketing programs, generates sales, protects client relationships and promotes client satisfaction in the Northeastern, Northwestern, and Central regions of Ohio. This department interacts continuously with all other disciplines of the corporation by communicating current and prospective client needs. Operational hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (M - F)

Client Service
A group of Client Service staff better known as Client Service Representatives (CSR) focus on high quality response to client requests by taking orders, supporting a team of mobile phlebotomists, scheduling tests, answering client inquiries, and facilitating client requests. This department is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Eight hour shifts include: First Shift Starting Times: 6:30AM, 7:30AM, 8:00AM, 8:30AM, 9:00AM, 9:30AM. Second Shift Starting Times: 11:00AM and 1:00PM. Third Shift Starting Times: 10:00PM, 10:30PM and 11:00 PM.

Information Systems
The Information Systems department includes our IS Manager, an IS Account Executive, and a Programmer. This group's primary responsibilities include systems maintenance, back-up procedures, and trouble-shooting, custom reporting, programming changes, software and hardware updates. Clinical Health Laboratories computer network includes five remote PSC's, over 200 client locations, and many in-house computers. The IS Department also oversees the operation of the telephone, fax and voice mail systems. Representatives from IS work very closely with other departments, committees and staff members to improve company- wide operations. In summary, the Information Systems Department is a service center to all Clinical Health Laboratories departments and clients. Operational hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (M - F)

Materials Management
A departmental manager who is responsible for the ordering of the company's materials and supplies handles this function. They also play an important part in the negotiations of new equipment, and supply contracts. The manager is also responsible for the supervision of the couriers, supply/warehouse personnel, management of the company's fleet of vehicles, and price negotiations for items ordered by the company. Operational hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (M - F)
